I think that every outfit should have a BAM! aspect. It's something that I strive for in most of my outfits, just to have one article of clothing or accessory that pops out from the colour scheme of the outfit and just says BAM!
In this picture, Lili is wearing a lot of neutral colours, black and white, and jeans. But then she has a vibrant red pump that draws attention to her feet and takes her outfit from looking plain to something a little more exciting.
Whether it be a blue necklace, an orange flower in your hair, or a turquoise sweater, it always helps to make your outfit go from one level, to the next. This is idea is GREAT from when you want to dress UP an outfit. For example, wearing a plain little black dress one day, and to dress it up you add in a snake-skin belt!
Just add a little bit of BAM! to your outfit ;).
