My friend Jen came to me the other saying "I have a topic for your blog!"
She saw a girl wearing ripped tights and she has the same view as me on them as being a no-no.
Just because I have a picture of Britney Spears wearing these ripped tights is in no way a stab at her.. but to the real topic of ripped clothing. Things like ripped clothing, more specifically the ripped jeans that I used to see people wear back when I was in high school was just such a faux-pas. I know there was a whole grunge look and there still is, but for me, it's like why buy a pair of 100$ jeans with rips in them? It's almost like we're mocking all those people in the world who don't even have clothes to wear. It's like you walk by a homeless person downtown and you're saying "I have enough money to buy new clothing, but I have THAT much money that I can have tears in them on purpose". You might as well give that item of clothing that you were going to tear up to a person that actually needs clothes without tears or use the money that you were going to buy a pair of ripped jeans with to help someone in need.
