I pose this question:
Would you rather have a fake friend who keeps you around for their entertainment, doesn't care about you, and thinks of you as part of their entourage, or would you rather have no friends at all?
It's quite ridiculous how many people will say they would rather have no friends at all, but as they say that they are being called by that fake friend right at the moment their saying it.
My father tells me "The only best friend you will ever have is yourself", wise words.
Next time that friend is demanding your attention selfishly, not there for you when you need them to be, or drop you as soon as someone else starts entertaining them, just think how nice it would be to put your energy into something more productive; maybe having a real friend?
